New Business Opportunities in Cold Chains Infrastructure and Agri-Food Value Chains

IDCC and DAFC (Danish Agriculture and Food Council) co-hosts a network seminar on the latest developments in India. Especially two topics will be on the agenda:

  • The development of nation-wide cold chain logistics
  • Specific Indo-Danish co-operation on food production and food safety.

Besides a general update on economic-political situation, you will get the opportunity to learn about the business possibilities created by the ambitious cold chain project. Also, you will hear more about the newly established government co-operation which could widely bring opportunities to Danish companies within the value chains of animal husbandry, dairy, and ingredients. You will furthermore have a chance to exchange your experience of doing business in India with other India focused companies.

Both topics are highly relevant, as India sees a rapidly growing population. This leads to a constant demand for more food which is both safe and of high quality. At the same time food waste along the Indian value chains make up close to 40 per cent. Danish competences contributing both to setting up cold chain infrastructure as well as supplying safer and better agri-food products are therefore in high demand.

With this background, we have put together a programme with the following elements:
