"Can you believe it - of all the countries in the world - India chooses Denmark as their preferred partner in the green transition"
The Green Strategic Partnership (GSP) was signed on Monday, September 28th, on a bilateral meeting between Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
A first of its kind for both parties, the partnership reflects the expertise of the Danish companies in sustainable solutions, India's great ambitions in the same - and our joint values!
In its current form, the GSP is a 4-page framework agreement that covers the following topics:
- Energy and Climate change
- Environment/Water and circular economy
- Sustainable Urban Development including Smart Cities
- Business, Trade, and Shipping
- Science, Technology, Innovation, and Digitization
- Food and Agriculture
- Health and Life Sciences
- Cultural Cooperation, People-to-People contacts, and Labour mobility
- Multilateral Cooperation
The partnership underlines the legitimacy of Danish companies and solutions in India, that IDCC and our partners have been working on for years. We will be supporting the further development and implementation of the partnership closely.
While the partnership represents the most significant, stand-alone opportunity for Danish companies in India, challenges will present themselves. Joining IDCC gives you the opportunity to engage with and learn from the most experienced Danish and Indian executives.
