Foundation for Excellence Paying it forward - an opportunity for a CSR partnership in India

The Foundation for Excellence (FFE), USA, is a 29 year old established nonprofit; its Indian entity, the Foundation for Excellence India Trust is a registered Public Charitable Trust in India. Its mission is to bring about transformative change for bright students from financially disadvantaged backgrounds in India in a single generation. FFE achieves this by awarding merit cum means scholarships to students pursuing degrees in Engineering, Medicine, Law, and Pharmacy across India.

In addition to financial assistance, FFE also provides skills training for employability, mentoring support, and opportunities for learning through webinars, projects, and internships through partnerships. This approach allows for corporate employee engagement and participation.

One of the unique aspects of FFE's program is the "Pay-Forward" initiative. FFE Scholars pledge to support at least two more students through donations to FFE, creating a self-sustaining model. FFE's alumni also contribute financially, mentor students, and use their networks to connect FFE with companies that employ them as scholars worldwide.
